Last weekend, during my stay in Bilbao, I talked to Mikel and his roommate about communication issues and the generally low level of English in the Basque Country and Spain. The Basque language is one of a kind. Not related to any other language, the vocabulary seems made up by a three year old, containing a whole lot of x’s and k’s. On top of that, it’s hard to find any structure at all (although there really is one). Read more…
